The Ruler of Dubai announced plans to develop the largest marina in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum unveiled plans on Monday to build an impressive terminal in Dubai that will have 1,400 berths in a bid to boost the cities tourism industry.

The ‘Dubai Harbour’ will also feature a cruise ship port and a terminal that can accommodate 6,000 passengers at a time, a government statement said. Yacht berths will also be built to accommodate large yachts of the mega wealthy.

Home to Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest tower, Dubai said the new project will include a 135-metre (443-foot) lighthouse featuring a hotel and observation deck.
