Minor Hotels has announced it will expand its international portfolio with the opening of three new-build hotels in Qatar in spring 2018. Owned by Katara Hospitality, the forthcoming projects will operate under Minor’s Tivoli and Oaks brands.

Set to debut in April 2018, the Tivoli Al Najada Doha Hotel will arrive in the heart of the Qatari capital within a new urban development project appointed with a large open piazza in addition to dining and retail. Spread across five stories, the hotel will host 151 guestrooms and suites, a variety of F&B concepts, a fitness center, swimming pool, business center, and expansive ballroom. Guestrooms on the upper floors will frame panoramic views of the Doha skyline.

The Oaks Hotels & Resorts brand will make its Qatari debut in April with the opening of Oaks Al Najada Doha. The property will house 100 serviced apartments designed with upscale, minimalist interiors and an artistic, Arabian touch. Onsite amenities will include an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center, pool bar, and alfresco dining. It will be the third development under the Oaks banner to open in the Middle East.

Finally, the 5-Star Souq Al Wakra Hotel Qatar by Tivoli will celebrate Qatari tradition in its expression of contemporary leisure. Located in the emerging seaside district Souq Al Wakra, the 101-key property comprises two former heritage houses whose original character has been preserved. Shaped by expansive, open layout, the hotel’s rooms are topped with thatched roofs as well as sea and sand motifs inspired by the district’s history as a pearl diving and fishing village. It will also be home to two restaurants, a shisha lounge overlooking the sea, two meeting rooms, a Tivoli Spa and fitness center, and a business center.
