The major fashion weeks ended in Paris Wednesday following a month long parade of shows and presentations in New York, London, Milan and Paris. Stores are placing their orders now, and the clothes will hit shelves starting in June and July.

It is surprising to see a trend stick around this long, but 1970s fever continues. A few important runway trends probably won’t meet with much success among consumers.
There were see-through lace clothes in a huge number of collections, and it remains to be seen how stores will deal with all that transparency—by requesting linings or selling more lingerie.
