Indian man allegedly kills 14 family members with a knife, including 7 children, then commits suicide
Fourteen members of a family were found massacred in a house in Thane near Mumbai, early this morning. The incident took place in the city’s Kasarvadavli area when the assailant Asnain Anwar Warekar, slit the victims’ throats one after the another.
Among the 13 killed, seven are children and six adults. Later, the suspected accused, Husnail Varekar, hanged himself taking the death toll to 14. 32-year-old Varekar was found with a knife in his hand.
The police say that all members had come together for a family celebration and were later sedated by Warerkar and then killed with a big knife.
