Video purports to show ‘kidnapped Italian aid workers’
The video, which appeared on YouTube late Wednesday, shows two young women seated before a blank wall, and dressed in black robes. One of them holds a sign with the date December 17, 2014, although the video only appears to have been posted on December 31.
The other woman appears to be reading from a prepared statement:
“We supplicate our government and its mediators to bring us back home before Christmas,” she says. “We are in big danger and we could be killed. The government and its militaries are responsible (for) our lives.”
