The Bedaya Centre for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (Bedaya Centre), a joint initiative by Qatar Development Bank and Silatech, has organised a workshop, in collaboration with Fifty One East, on fashion styling during the second episode of the 2019 summer camp, which was held from July 14-25.
With Fifty One East’s unparalleled expertise of more than 70 years and substantial knowledge in the fashion industry, its stylists were able to share tips about the industry and teach the students the guidelines and outlines in styling, as well as different aspects of fashion design as a career. The participants were subsequently asked to select and coordinate garments/accessories to plan the complete look for their simulated clients.
On this occasion, Bedaya Centre general manager Reem al-Suwaidi said: “We are delighted to collaborate with Fifty One East for the second time. Due to their longstanding experience, we were able to highlight the importance of fashion, which has started gaining momentum around the globe offering endless opportunities for those interested in working in this field by advising, choosing and co-ordinating clothes for customers in an era where our dynamic lives require us to be in the best image and best appearance as possible.”
