Eid Festival begins today

Doha – PACKED with arts, theatre, history, sports and family entertainment activities, the Eid Al Fitr Festival 2015 will kick off on Friday (first day of Eid) with celebrations across Qatar to be organised by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) and its partners in the public and private sector.

The first of five days offers a myriad of family entertainment shows taking place in Qatar’s shopping malls between 4pm and 10pm, including mime shows, the ‘Rene Magritte’ show, the ‘Babylon Joe’ show and a performance by the Paper Magic Artist, in addition to other events inspired by Qatari heritage.

Exclusive shows will also feature throughout the many shopping malls around Qatar, including Peter Pan (City Centre Doha), Circus Canada (Al Khor Mall), Jungle Book (Lagoona Mall), Pinocchio (Hyatt Plaza), The Little Prince (Dar Al Salam Mall) and Meet the Nicktoons (Ezdan Mall).

Visitors and residents will be able to enjoy two theatrical performances, including the family-friendly musical Elmo Makes Music, from the famous Sesame Street show, which will be held at Qatar National Convention Centre from July 18 to July 22 between 5pm and 8pm. Tickets can be purchased at Virgin Megastores or through Q-tickets.com.
