QATAR’S mission in Brussels has inaugurated the new headquarters of its embassy.
The inauguration was attended by Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Didier Reynders, Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs HE Sultan bin Saad al Mureikhi along with a number of Belgian officials and high-level representatives of European institutions as well as Arab and foreign ambassadors in Belgium and NATO representatives.
In his speech on the occasion, Reynders commended the level of relations between Belgium and Qatar and expressed his delight at the advanced progress of partnership in record time.
While lauding the visit of Belgian economic delegation headed by HRH Princess Astrid to Qatar in March 2015, he said that the mission contributed to strengthening the existing partnership between the two countries and opening prospects for other new partnerships.
The deputy prime minister attributed the steady growth in bilateral relations to the strong convictions and importance attached by the two sides to the relationships, adding that the inauguration of the building reflects the progress of the relations.
He pointed out that the new headquarters of the Embassy of Qatar reaffirms Qatar’s commitment to a more effective and constructive cooperation with the Brussels-based international institutions as well as with all other actors operating in the capital of Europe.
