Single European Sky ATM Research Joint Undertaking and the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority have signed an agreement pledging increased cooperation between the two organizations beginning immediately.

The groups hope that the exchange of data and experience will “create more interoperability between” ATM systems, according to QCAA Chairman Abdulla Nasser Turki Al Subaey.

Beyond attempting to strengthen the air traffic management of both organizations and improve travel between regions, the groups will compare their respective ATM master plans to identify gaps and potential synergies.
