Zlatan calls match ban “a disgrace to football”

Star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has finally spoken out after receiving a four-game ban for his foul mouthed rant against match officials last month. He writes on his app that the ban is “a joke” and “a disgrace to the game”.

The Swede was found guilty of “using insulting language” by the French League’s (LFP) disciplinary committee Thursday evening, but Ibrahimovic writes that his comments were not directed towards the match officials and calls the ban “unprofessional”.

“I would have preferred the ban to last all season instead. At least then I could’ve gone on vacation”, Ibrahimovic continues.
