Doha: Minister of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs H E Dr Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi has stressed that the Workers’ Cup 2018 is a source of pride for the State of Qatar as it represents the continuous efforts exerted by the State to protect and promote the rights of expatriate workers.
Minister of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs H E Dr Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi, and Secretary General of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) Hassan Al Thawadi last night crowned the champions of the Workers’ Cup final 2018.
The success of the sixth edition of the Workers’ Cup underscores Qatar’s commitment to workers welfare, guarantee their rights, provide them with various means of recreation, and enable them to practice their hobbies and improve their lifestyle by playing football, he said.
He added that the interest of Qatar and the Supreme Committee for competition in the category of workers is of great importance, especially in light of the large public presence and interaction with the high technical level of the final matches. He congratulated the winning team and prayed for the success of other teams during the coming versions.
The Minister of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs said that the tournament witnessed great cooperation from several companies, which allowed the workers to participate in this event. He called on the rest of the companies to participate and contribute to the success of this event in the coming years.
