7.0 quake strikes off shores of Japan
(CNN) – An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.0 struck northwest of Japan’s Ryukyu Islands on Friday, but there was no immediate tsunami danger to the U.S. West Coast, British Columbia and Alaska, the National Tsunami Warning Center said.
