Shooting reported at San Diego’s Naval Medical Center

Authorities responded to reports of three gunshots fired around 8 a.m. (11 a.m. ET) Tuesday in the basement of Naval Medical Center San Diego’s Building 26, medical center spokesman Mike Alvarez said. Alvarez said the incident is being treated as if it’s an active shooter situation.

A shooting has been reported at the Naval Medical Center San Diego, according to the center’s Facebook page. “An active shooter has just been reported in building #26 at Naval Medical Center San Diego,” Tuesday morning’s post reads. “All occupants are advised to run, hide or fight. “All non-emergency response personnel are asked to stay away from the compound.”
