Train attack suspect known to authorities in 3 countries
The gunman who boarded a high-speed train from Amsterdam to Paris before being tackled by passengers was known to authorities in three countries, according to media reports.
Authorities said the man, named as Ayoub El-Khazzani, 26, by a French official close to the investigation, had ties to radical Islam and may have traveled to Syria, according to the Associated Press. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing, said El-Khazzani was known to authorities in France, Belgium and Spain.
