Two US television journalists shot dead during live broadcast interview in Virginia
Two US television journalists have been shot dead while conducting a live, early-morning interview at a small shopping center near the town of Moneta, Virginia. Video of the incident has been posted online.
Photographer Adam Ward and reporter Alison Parker were carrying out the interview for broadcaster WDBJ7 near the town of Moneta, Virginia when gunshots were fired at 06.45 local time according to the CNN network.
Station manager Jeffrey Marks said both 27-year-old Ward and 24-year-old Parker were killed. “We do not know the motive. We do not know who the suspect or who the killer is,” Marks added.
