Minister of State and Governor of Muscat, Saud bin Hilal al-Busaidi, and Chairman of Omani Shura Council Khalid bin Hilal al-Maawali have met separately with Qatar’s ambassador to Oman, Sheikh Jassim bin Abdulrahman al-Thani. The meetings discussed relations between Qatar and Oman in addition to topics of mutual interest.

S Korean president  receives Qatari envoy’s credentials
South Korean President Moon Jae-in received the credentials of Qatar’s ambassador Mohamed bin Ahmed al-Haiki in Seoul yesterday. The ambassador conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to South Korean president. President Moon reciprocated the Amir’s greetings, and wished the ambassador success in his new assignment and in strengthening bilateral relations.

Vice-President of Ecuador Otto Sonnenholzner met Qatar’s ambassador Mohamed Ali al-Malki. During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral co-operation relations and issues of common concern.

Key challenges facing Mideast, Mena discussed at Doha meet
The 14th edition of Enriching the Middle-East’s Economic Future Conference concluded in Doha on Wednesday.
The two-day event, witnessed the organisation of seminars that discussed a number of economic issues in the region and the world, with the participation of about 270 prominent personalities from 73 countries.
Organised by the Permanent Committee for Organising Conferences at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in partnership with the UCLA Centre for Middle East Development (CMED), the conference addressed the key challenges facing the Middle East and North Africa region (Mena), and provided an overview of the most important issues in the region and the world.
HE the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Sultan bin Rashid al-Khater said in a closing speech that the conference was held this year even as the contemporary world is still going through difficult and complex circumstances.
