With the aim of enhancing efforts in the field of professional development for university students, Qatar University’s (QU) Career Development Centre  is collaborating with Dolphin Energy to offer a Career Qualifying Programme.
The role of the Career Development Centre at QU is to develop and train students to help them engage in the labour market and obtain optimum career opportunities.
Maha al-Marri, director, Career Development Centre, said that the Career Qualifying Programme contributes to the preparation of students for their professional future.
Designed to help create a workforce ready for the Qatari labour market, the programme consists of a series of workshops that focus on providing students with a variety of important job skills that contributes to human development, one of the pillars of Qatar
National Vision 2030.
The programme, which includes 10 training workshops for students, has already benefited 183 male and female students. The workshops reinforced QU students with the professional skills that qualify them to obtain a job that meets their aspirations and future career goals.
Commenting on the company’s sponsorship of the Career Qualifying Programme, Dolphin Energy general manager – Qatar Hassan al-Emadi said, “We are very proud to collaborate with QU’s Career Development Centre on this significant initiative. It is first time we have done so and I hope our support helps raise awareness on the needs of the local market and assists students in securing the best career opportunities possible, so that they develop into future leaders.”
