The Academy has contributed significantly to the training and development of generations of beauty specialists to serve the community.” Al-Dosari added that the Academy is moving forward in achieving its goal of promoting and developing the local beauty industry, supporting local talents and helping them to discover their abilities and providing them with professional qualifications. She also pointed out that one of the goals of the Academy is to advance the level of the beauty industry in the country and provide excellent and international standards for those working in this field.
Al-Dosari explained that the Academy awards globally recognised certificates from international institutes such as CIDESCO and CIBTAC to qualify students to enter the labour market. She further indicated that the Center is proud to have been hosting the Qatar International Beauty Academy for the past 10 years ago as part of Center’s vision to support entrepreneurial projects, especially in the field of beauty.
Beverley Crowther, principal of Tajmeel said: “I am pleased and proud to see these wonderful graduates who have demonstrated their unique talents and skills through the year, thriving to build a prosperous future for themselves whilst supporting the development of the community.
Graduates are now qualified with the best international certificates and can start practising their professions and leverage the skills and knowledge they have accumulated throughout their studies at the academy.”
“Since our aim at Qatar International Beauty Academy, Tajmeel, is to structure and foster the beauty industry locally, Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition was a natural choice for us to select as a destination to host our 10th graduation ceremony, since we share the same vision and ambition in supporting local talents and empowering them to unlock their potential, ” concluded Beverly.
Through this one-of-a-kind partnership with Heya, Tajmeel has furthermore led a series of workshops throughout the exhibition on a variety of topics including a make-up demo on the effective use of eyeliner and a dedicated workshop on skincare at 20’s, 30’s, 40’s and beyond.
Held under the patronage of HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad al-Thani, the 16th edition of Heya this year showcased the largest display of local designers to date with more than 250 brands from 11 countries participating, who have offered shoppers and visitors an assortment of unique collections, from high-street apparel, couture and luxury, to the latest modest fashion evening gowns, leather accessories as well as perfumery and make-up.
Tajmeel, Qatar’s first vocational training centre to offer internationally recognised hair and beauty therapy qualifications, aims to transfer knowledge, expertise and professionalism to the local community by providing them with quality education opportunities in spa, hair, beauty and its associated fields.
