Melange Art Show at Mall of Qatar

A colourful dancing and light show as part of its line-up of free family entertainment will be held at the Mall of Qatar.

This amazing light show features two acts – Alice in Wonderland, that will be performed at 6:00pm and Mélange Art at 8:30pm.

Dancers and acrobats will take the audience on a journey to a new wonderful world. The entertainers will perform a spectacular show, while wearing LED costumes that light in the dark aided by special sound effects.

Commercial Bank Qatar Masters Tees Off

The world’s best golf talent will head to Doha this weekend for the 21st edition of Commercial Bank Qatar Masters as they compete for the Mother of Pearl Trophy on one of the most challenging courses on the Tour.

The 2018 edition of the golf event promises to give fans an even more incredible experience, with all new features and entertainment options.

Video Games Live in Doha!

Gamers and music enthusiasts in Qatar are in for treat as globally acclaimed “Video Games Live” concert spectacular returns for the third time at Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC) on Friday.

The phenomenal video game music show will play well-loved music from the most popular video games of all time such as Super Mario Bros, Halo, Warcraft, Final Fantasy, The Legend of Zelda, Sonic the Hedgehog, among others. This is the third consecutive year the concert will be staged in Doha following the success of the previous shows.

The price of ticket ranges from QR 65 to QR 1000 and can be purchased online.

Senyar Championship

As part of its strategy and in celebration of Qatar’s glorious heritage, Cultural Village Foundation – Katara is organising for the seventh consecutive year Senyar Championship. The annual marine competition comprises of fishing and pearl diving contests with valuable prizes allocated to the winning contestants.

The championship aims to revive ancestral heritage whilst highlighting the traditions, customs and values associated with Qatari marine life.

Perspectives-Contemporary Arab Women Artists exhibition

Al Markhiya Gallery has collaborated with Art 29 for the first time to present a panorama of the differing vistas of Arab women artists of today through the “Perspectives-Contemporary Arab Women Artists” exhibition.

Art enthusiasts can enjoy a rich collection of 27 works by 11 Arab women artists representing seven Arab countries on display at the show. A few namely are Fetooh Shummoh from Kuwait and  Fatma Alshebani from Qatar.

Other artists whose works are shown at the exhibition are Reem Yassouf and Iman Hasbani from Syria, Ginou Chouheiri and Mona Nahleh from Lebanon, Amnah Al Nasiri from Yemen, Dina Mattar from Palestine, Fetooh Shummoh from Kuwait and Hilda Hiary from Jordan.
