Things to do this weekend in Qatar (May 3-5, 2018)

Qatar will be sporting major events this weekend, which vary from the IAAF Diamond League Doha 2018 to the Arabian Horse exhibition.

Doha Diamond League 2018

The IAAF Diamond League Doha 2018 will be staged on May 4 at the Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium also known as Qatar Sports Club.

The event will comprise of many track and field events.

Qatar’s Mutaz Barshim the 2017 World Champion, Diamond League Champion will also be participating in the 2018 league.

The Arabian Horse through the Masters Eyes Exhibition

‘Arabian Horse Through the Masters’ Eyes’ is an exhibition which features more than 60 canvases from the collection of  Sheikh Saud bin Abdul Aziz Al Thani, which were painted by seven international artists: Peter Upton, Mary Haggard, Emad Al Taei, Gil Vanston, Robin Bastico, Deborah Rush and Elias Faizulin.

Sheikh Saud bin Abdul Aziz Al Thani will share with visitors his international paintings collection accomplished by the most famous artists from different nationalities. He began to collect these artworks since 2007, to express his passion of horse breeding and everything related to it.

Filipino Show

Filipino Show is about an ancient Philippines civilization that has evolved and adapted with the ‘winds of change’ to become a cross culture of art, music and dance.

The show includes three separate varieties of dance forms that is – the Singkil Dance, MassKara Dance and Modern Ati Atihan.
