Tornado reported near San Antonio
AUSTIN — Severe weather and at least one confirmed tornado caused damage Friday morning in D’Hanis, Floresville and San Marcos, Texas, according to the Weather Channel and the National Weather Service.
D’Hanis and Floresville took the hardest hit, weather service meteorologist Jason Runyen told the Weather Channel. Runyen said businesses have been damaged in downtown D’Hanis and that trees are also down.
Along with the report of the confirmed tornado, the weather service said that extensive damage to Floresville High School could have been caused by a tornado as well, KENS-5 TV reported.
