Indian government calls for a party convention over the Sri Lankan crisis

Colombo (News First); The Government of India convened a party convention on the Sri Lankan crisis on Tuesday (19), which will be explained by Federal Ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and S Jaishankar. New Indian Express Citing the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Prarahad Joshi, the state said.
At a party meeting on Sunday prior to the monsoon parliament, Tamil Nadu-based DMK and AIADMK called for India to intervene in a neighboring country facing a debilitating economic crisis.
At the meeting on Sunday, both DMK and AIADMK raised the issue of Sri Lanka, especially the situation of the Tamil population in the country.
In a meeting with reporters after the meeting, NDA member DMK leader M. Thambidurai said India should intervene to resolve the crisis in Sri Lanka. Leader TR Baalu also called for India’s intervention to deal with the situation in Sri Lanka.
