The Role
Charterhouse is working with a project power business on a combined cycle gas turbine plant for a field operator. You will be responsible for local plant operation to ensure it meets the required availability, reliability, efficiency, generation and cost targets, safely and within strict environmental limits.
This role will include regular equipment start-ups, shutdowns, changeovers and repeated operation / monitoring, as well as responding to alarms and emergency conditions. The role requires a detailed understanding and practical experience of the technologies associated with operating a modern gas turbine plant, desalination plant and a wide range of auxiliary equipment.
Requirements
The successful candidate should have an engineering related education to diploma level with a minimum of 3 years relevant power plant experience in a modern process. You should be able to demonstrate a practical understanding associated to the working principle of gas turbine, steam turbine, HRSG, desalination and a wide range of auxiliary equipment. Due to visa restrictions on the plant, our client has stated a preference for nationals from the Philippines, Turkey, Tunisia, Indonesia or Europe.
