Drive for Nato cooperation “behind the scenes”
Sweden is not a member of military alliances, unlike Norway and Denmark.
A Swedish military veteran says there is closer Nato cooperation than is openly admitted.
Speaking out in the feminist magazine Bang, reserve officer Sigrid Aliki says Swedish personnel in Kosovo were treated like Nato soldiers, even wearing Nato flags on their uniforms.
Bang also publishes an internal memo from the Swedish delegation to Nato’s conference in August, which states Nato cooperation has gone from “nice to have” to “need to have.”
