Cuban doctor recovers from Ebola virus in Geneva clinic
A Cuban doctor who contracted the Ebola while working in Sierra Leone has been declared clear of the virus. He was treated with experimental drugs at a Swiss clinic.
Cuba’s Health Ministry said that tests carried out on 43-year-old Felix Baez Sarria show he is clear of the virus and will soon be released from Geneva University Hospital and flown home.
“The tests carried out confirm the disappearance of the virus in his body fluids, so he will soon be released,” the ministry said in a statement on Friday.
