He left Israeli prisons after about 23 years in them, to the Gaza Strip, loyal to the free people, like all the leaders who preceded him, and was martyred among his people in his beloved military uniform, brandishing his rifle, and clashing with the occupation forces in Rafah.

He is the martyr Yahya Ibrahim Al-Sinwar, a Palestinian born in 1962 in the Khan Yunis camp, a refugee from occupied Ashkelon. He is Abu Ibrahim, who was martyred while assuming the position of head of the political council of the Hamas movement, succeeding Abu Al-Abed, Ismail Haniyeh, who was also martyred.

The man, who represented a complex for “Israel” through its security and intelligence services, was an Arabic language specialist, and contributed to the establishment of the Faculty of Arts at the Islamic University in the Gaza Strip. In addition to Arabic, in which he wrote his novel “The Thorns and the Carnations” while in prison, the martyr Sinwar learned Hebrew during his captivity, mastered it and got to know his enemy well through it, until his release became the greatest mistake of this enemy.

Israel knows very well that its war will not lead to the victory it aspires to, which is represented by “eliminating Hamas,” whose battalions still appear, through “Al-Yassin 105” in Jabalia, “Al-Zawari” in Khan Yunis, and “Al-Maqadma” in the occupied sky above “Tel Aviv,” whenever the occupation “army” says that it has gotten rid of them.

Just as the martyrs Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, Engineer Mahmoud Al-Zurai, and Doctor Ibrahim Al-Maqadmeh are still present in the field, as are all the martyrs, Abu Ibrahim, the man of brilliant mind, who worked in Arabic and Hebrew, will remain in the field with the mujahideen, chasing with them the occupation soldiers in the alleys of Gaza, booby-trapping buildings they had taken over, and blowing up the eyes of tunnels they thought would not swallow them.

The martyr Yahya Sinwar is the founder of “Majd”, Hamas’s security apparatus. He is the one who established the apparatus that ensures the continuation of the Islamic resistance movement in Palestine, which the entire world, led by the United States, has acknowledged as impossible to eliminate. Will “Israel” erase his trace after failing to dissuade him from assuming security missions that helped ensure Hamas’s survival, from within its fortified prisons, when he was under its eyes and between its walls?

After being released from captivity in the “Wafa al-Ahrar” deal in 2011, which he also participated in managing from inside Israeli prisons, Sinwar got married and had three children. He coordinated between the political and military leaderships in Hamas during the “Operation Protective Edge” battle in 2014. He became the head of Hamas in Gaza in 2017. In 2021, he made the decision to launch the “Sword of Jerusalem” battle, the battle in which the martyr Sinwar challenged “Israel” to assassinate him, and in which he told his family that “hitting Tel Aviv is easier for us than drinking water.”

In 2023, he launched the “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle, which was announced by the commander-in-chief of the Qassam Brigades, Abu Khaled Mohammed Deif, on the morning of that Saturday, October 7. Sinwar shook the ground under “Israel”. The resistance crossed into the occupied territories, and from that moment on, the Palestinians and the axis of resistance, with which Sinwar strengthened the relationship, marched towards liberating Palestine, all of Palestine, and even the entire region, from “Israel” and the United States, which included its protégé’s nightmare on its “black list” in 2015.

Sinwar’s challenge to “Israel” to assassinate him was preceded by several attempts to do so. The occupation bombed his house during its aggression on Gaza in 2012. Then in 2021, the year of the “Sword of Jerusalem” that Sinwar wielded but did not sheathe until his last breath, the occupation bombed more than one place in an attempt to reach him. This was repeated during the “roaring flood” that Abu Ibrahim had heralded, as it stormed more than one place in attempts to target him.

After all that, the Palestinian leader was martyred, facing away, not turning his back, aiming his weapon at “Israel.”
