Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant threatened, today, Sunday, with a strong response in the event that Israel is exposed to any attack.
Galant said during his visit to the ground technology unit responsible for the operational technological response of the field forces that “if the enemy dares to attack us, he will pay a heavy price.”
Galant added: “We will demand a heavy price from the enemy, as we did in recent days – if he dares to attack us, he will pay a heavy price.”
Galant stressed the importance of forming and providing the operational response for the forces in the field as an attempt to enable the continuation of the fighting, and insisted on the importance of preparing for a rapid transition from defense to attack, saying: “We are ready to move quickly to attack or respond.”

Regional tensions have risen following the assassination of Haniyeh on Wednesday, a day after an Israeli airstrike in Beirut killed Fuad Shukr, a military commander in the Hezbollah group, which like Hamas is allied with Iran.
Iran and Hamas have blamed Israel for Haniyeh’s killing, and have vowed, along with Hezbollah, to take revenge. Israel has neither claimed nor denied responsibility.
