An Indian expatriate has been missing for more than 70 days after he went for work with his colleagues at a road construction project in Rayyan.
Murugesan Gopalakrishnan, 22, hailing from Sivaganga district in Tamil Nadu was employed by a company as a steel fixer, as reported by Gulf Times.
His colleagues reported that Gopalakrishnan was dropped at his work site and the employer’s record showed he reported for duty at 5am of December 13, 2016.
It was after his colleagues could not locate him throughout the evening, that they reported the matter to the camp managers.
Moreover, the father of the missing man, Murugesan who works in Saudi Arabia, also tried to contact him on his mobile phone the next day, although there was no response, from the latter’s side.
The employers later lodged a complaint with the police. Some of his colleagues also visited the Hamad General Hospital also to find out if he was admitted in there.
The police is reportedly investigating the case.
