Leaders of Qatar, Kuwait discuss fraternal ties

Kuwait: Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met with the Amir of Kuwait H H Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah at Dasman Palace yesterday.

The Amir and the Kuwait Amir exchanged greetings on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.

They also discussed ways to support the well-established fraternal relations and the close ties between the two brotherly peoples and countries.

They also discussed a host of regional and international issues and developments.

H H Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, Personal Representative of the Amir and number of Their Excellences Ministers and Sheikhs, members of the delegation accompanying the Emir attended the meeting.

On the Kuwaiti side, the meeting was attended by Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al Ghanim, Deputy Chief of the Kuwait National Guard Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al Mubarak Al Hamad Al Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al Ahmed, Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah and Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Khaled Al Jarrah Al Sabah.

Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani also attended the Iftar banquet hosted by Amir of Kuwait H H Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah in honour of H H the Amir and the accompanying delegation at Dasman Palace.

From the Kuwaiti side the Iftar banquet was attended by Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al Ghanim, Deputy Chief of the Kuwait National Guard Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al Mubarak Al Hamad Al Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al Ahmed, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Khaled Al Jarrah Al Sabah, and number of Their Excellencies Sheikhs, senior officials and dignitaries.

H H the Amir left Kuwait in the evening after a brotherly visit to the State of Kuwait. H H the Amir and the accompanying delegation were seen off upon departure at Kuwait International Airport by Crown Prince of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah.

Also seeing H H the Amir off were National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al Ghanim; Deputy Chief of the Kuwait National Guard Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah; Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al Mubarak Al Hamad Al Sabah; First Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al Ahmed; Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Khaled Al Jarrah Al Sabah; number of Their Excellencies Sheikhs and senior officials, Charge d’Affairs in the State of Qatar’s Embassy in Kuwait Ali Jaber Al Marri, the State of Kuwait’s Ambassador to Qatar Hafeez Mohammed Al Ajmi and members of the Qatari Embassy.
