The Doha Criminal Court has sentenced a Moroccan man to five years in jail and subsequent deportation for breaking into a shop and stealing 25 mobile phones, 100 watches, a laptop and some cash.
Added to this sentence the man was given an additional three more months in jail, as reported by a Local Arabic daily Arrayah, for being intoxicated while carrying out his crime. The issue started when the defendant was intoxicated one night and broke the door of a shop using an iron bar and grabbed many things before fleeing. The next day, the shop owner reported the issue to the police. The investigation led to the defendant.
