Qatar Airways took to Twitter yesterday to settle the controversy that had erupted as some ‘inappropriate’ pictures of one of its female cabin crew member had surfaced on the social media. The airline via its Arabic Twitter account issued a statement clarifying the matter.
According to the statement issued, the company has said that the images, which were shared on social media, are in fact 4 years old and the crew member in question had been terminated immediately, after an investigation into the incident was carried out.
The airline reiterated that all its employees are professional and they uphold the Qatari law in every sense and respect the sentiments of the Qatari population.
The matter had come to the attention of the airline after many people made their concerns public regarding the unacceptable behaviour of its cabin crew, following which the airline issued the clarification.
The airline added in its statement that such cases are very rare and if and when such things happen, they are dealt with utmost seriousness and all the necessary action is taken as soon as possible.
