Magnus Wrenninge, a Swede working behind the scenes of Hollywood, speaks to Radio Sweden before picking up an Oscar in Beverly Hills.
There was some disappointment in Sweden when Gothenburg filmmaker Ruben Östlund failed to make the cut for this year’s Oscar nominations. His latest movie, Force Majeure, was a big hit but, still, Östlund will not be joining the global cinema elite at the Oscar gala later this month.
However, another Swede, Magnus Wrenninge, will be accepting a prestigious Academy Award on February 7th – two weeks ahead of the glitzy Hollywood gala. He’ll be picking up a coveted certificate at a Beverly Hills event for technical achievement prize winners.
