Symantec Is Laying Off 2,000 Employees As It Splits In Half
Symantec, the security software company that announced plans to split in half last month, will lay off roughly 2,000 employees, or about 10% of its total workforce over the next year, San Jose Mercury News reported Thursday.
The company declined to break down where the cuts would come from but said they would take place across “a number of locations and functions within the company.”
