A survey by the Ministry of Interior (MoI) in Qatar shows that almost 64 per cent of road users believe mobile radars have helped reduce instances of speeding and road accidents.
The traffic department, as such, has stated that there would be mobile radars installed in areas like Dukhan-Al Shahaniya, Al Waab, University St, Al Dafna, Air Force Street, Salwa Road, University and Shamal Highway on April 10, to monitor speed and check traffic violations.
The mobile radars, as such, will also be checking on those overtaking from right side, driving without seat belts and using phone while driving.
Moreover, MOI has also invited residents to suggest for any new road that should be monitored by the mobile radars.
