DOHA: In a first in Qatar, Mowasalat has launched double-buses (articulated bus) for public transport with a capacity of more than 60 passengers.
It is a single-deck bus comprising two rigid sections linked by a pivoting joint (articulation) enclosed by protective folding bellows and a cover plate on the inside of the vehicle.
The bus, equipped with an advanced monitoring system, has larger passenger capacity, more and larger doors allowing simultaneous boarding and disembarkation.
