Doha The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani will patronise the inauguration ceremony of the Doha Historical Dictionary of Arabic on Monday. The ceremony will be organised by the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies of the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies. The Doha Historical Dictionary of Arabic, on which work commenced in May 2013, is the first dictionary that oversees the compilation of a historical lexicon of the Arabic language. The project has been going on under the guidance and support of the Amir since HH was the heir apparent and it reflects his vision of preserving the Arabic language and the identity of the nation.
