Saeed Al-Kuwari, Executive Director of the Haya platform at the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, explained that since the beginning of next November, entry to the State of Qatar will be restricted to Haya card holders, in addition to citizens and residents.
Al-Kuwari said on the Al-Kass TV Council program: “During the World Cup period, starting from the beginning of the month, the Haya card will be a prerequisite for entering the country, and one of the most important conditions for applying to it is obtaining a ticket for the World Cup matches.”
With regard to citizens and people who have valid residency in Qatar, Al-Kuwari explained that the situation will remain normal and will not be affected during the World Cup period, as they will be able to enter and exit normally, and that the Haya card is limited to neighboring countries and the rest of the world.
Al-Kuwari also indicated that the Haya card allows a person to reside in Qatar until 1-23-20 2022, and a person can enter and exit Qatar through it throughout this period.
For his part, Omar Al Jaber, Executive Director of the Housing Department at the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, confirmed that the Haya card is valid for residency in the State of Qatar for the duration of the tournament, even if the visitor has a single match ticket, provided that housing is available.
