After the meeting, His Excellency the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs said the following:
At the beginning of the meeting, the Cabinet renewed the State of Qatar’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the Israeli Minister of National Security’s storming of the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque yesterday, Tuesday, under the protection of the occupation authorities, in flagrant violation of international law and international legitimacy resolutions, and a deliberate provocation of the feelings of millions of Muslims and a dangerous escalation of the continuing Israeli practices of profanation. The blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Judaization of Jerusalem, the change of its legal and historical status, the expansion of settlements, and the continuation of daily brutal attacks on Palestinian citizens.
The Council again called on the international community to take urgent and firm action to compel Israel to stop its violations and provocations, and to implement the relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council and the UN General Assembly, before the cycle of violence widens and hopes for a true peace that restores the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, foremost of which is their legitimate right to establish their independent state, fade. on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
After that, the Council of Ministers considered the topics on the agenda as follows:
First – Approval in principle of a draft decision of the Minister of Foreign Affairs regarding determining fees for services for the use of representative missions accredited to the State of Qatar, the Ministerial Hall and the VIP Lounge at Hamad International Airport.
Second – Take the necessary measures to ratify:
1- A memorandum of understanding in the field of food security between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Republic of Turkey.
2- An agreement for joint cooperation in the fields of health between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of Armenia.
3- An agreement for cooperation in the field of education, higher education and scientific research between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Republic of Armenia.
4- A memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the fields of tourism and business activities between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Republic of Armenia.
Third – The Council of Ministers reviewed the following issues and took the appropriate decisions in their regard:
1- The results of the meeting (24) of the Committee of Ministers of Transport and Communications of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.
2- The results of the meetings of the commercial and industrial cooperation committees of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
3- Results of the 18th meeting of the Committee of Ministers and heads of civil service agencies in the Gulf Cooperation Council states.
4- Report (54) on the results of the work of the National Committee for the Prohibition of Weapons during the period from 9/1 to 12/31/2022.
