His Excellency President Halimah Yacob, President of the Republic of Singapore, received yesterday His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, at the Astana presidential palace in the capital, Singapore.
At the beginning of the interview, His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the country, to His Excellency the President of Singapore, and his wishes to Her Excellency of good health and happiness, and to the friendly government and people of Singapore of continued security and stability.
For her part, the President of Singapore, His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, conveyed her greetings to His Highness the Emir of the country, wishing him good health and happiness, and the State of Qatar continued progress and development.
During the meeting, they reviewed the existing strategic cooperation relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing and developing them in various fields, in addition to exchanging views on a number of regional and international issues of common concern.
The meeting was attended by a number of Their Excellencies ministers and senior officials, members of the official delegation accompanying the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and from the Singaporean side, a number of Their Excellencies ministers and senior officials.
