Araqchi from Damascus: There are initiatives regarding a ceasefire in Lebanon and Gaza
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi confirms that the Zionist entity’s government only understands the language of force, and indicates that Iranian efforts will continue to stop the aggression on Lebanon and Gaza.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stressed that “the government of the Zionist entity only understands the language of force and war, and it continues to commit crimes in Beirut, southern Lebanon and Gaza.”

“We need international efforts to stop these crimes,” Araghchi added in statements to the media upon his arrival in Damascus.

He pointed out that “the first file is the ceasefire in Lebanon and Gaza.”

He continued, “There are initiatives in the context of a ceasefire in Lebanon and Gaza. Consultations have been held in this regard, and we hope that they will be successful. However, unfortunately, the hostile actions and crimes committed by the Zionist entity continue.”

He stressed that Iranian efforts will continue to stop the aggression on Lebanon and Gaza.

He stressed that ” the aim of the visit to Damascus is to continue discussions on developments in the region after very important discussions were held in Beirut with Lebanese officials.”

He said: “We are in continuous coordination with our Syrian friends regarding developments in the region.”

The Iranian Foreign Minister visited Lebanon yesterday, Friday, and confirmed, after his meeting with Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, his country’s support for Lebanon and the resistance in the face of Israeli aggression.

He said that consultations are ongoing with other countries to reach a ceasefire “on condition that the rights of the Lebanese are taken into account,” stressing that Tehran “will launch a diplomatic campaign to support Lebanon.”
