AZF Ramadan Sports Festival tourney draw on Sunday

Doha:  Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) has announced that it has reached the number of registered teams set to participate in this year’s football, basketball, volleyball, cricket and futsal competitions, which is organised as part of this year’s Ramadan Sports Festival (RSF) 2018.

Registration for team tournaments is set to close on May 10th.

Meanwhile, AZF extended online registration for individual fitness activities until the start of the Festival on May 21st.

In preparation for this year’s RSF, members of the organising committee will hold technical meetings from Sunday to Tuesday next week with the teams taking part.

At the technical meetings, participants will be briefed on the competitions’ rules and guidelines.

A draw will be held for each tournament to determine the teams competing in the group stages and final schedule of matches.

Thanks to a carefully designed programme featuring a range of popular sports, members of the local community in Qatar will have ample opportunity to get involved and stay active during the Holy Month of Ramadan, fulfilling one of AZF’s core objectives which is to promote healthy and active lifestyle.

The festival is an excellent example of the year-round programme of activities AZF hosts at its world-class facilities, which cater for all members of the community.
