Canada praises Qatar’s role in supporting refugees

Doha: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, H E Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, met here yesterday with the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship for the Government of Canada, Ahmed Hussen.
The meeting dealt with bilateral relations and means to bolster them in addition to regional and international issues of common concern.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the State of Qatar looks forward to enhance cooperation with Canada in all areas, including partnership within the international community to meet the humanitarian and developmental challenges and alleviate the suffering of refugees. For his part, Canada’s Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship praised the State of Qatar’s leading efforts in supporting refugees worldwide.
