Overseas Filipino workers have in their minds ideal countries for work. Considerations vary from peace and order, cost of living, weather, etc. But most Filipinos have the range of salary they can receive on top of this list with the priority of providing for their families and loved ones back home.
Workabroad.ph released its Overseas Report on November 23, 2016. The report identified the countries where OFWs are being paid the most. Here are the countries considered to be the highest paying:
UNITED ARAB EMIRATES. UEA takes over the top spot from the United States for this year. A Filipino doctor in UAE may earn around P253,826.00 ($5,093.84) per month.
QATAR. An OFW in Qatar working as Aviation/ Aircraft maintenance could earn as much as much as P209,700.00 ($4,207.55) per month.
CANADA. An OFW working as a Nurse/ Medical Support Assistant could earn as much as P172,500.00 ($3,461.15) per month.
NEW ZEALAND. An OFW working as a Nurse/ Medical Support Assistant could earn as much as P172,500.00 ($3,461.15) per month.
UNITED KINGDOM. An OFW working as a Doctor/ Diagnosis could earn as much as P153,333.00 ($3,076.15) per month.
SINGAPORE. An OFW working in the field of Engineering could earn as much as P138,000.00 ($2,768.52) per month.
SAUDI ARABIA. An OFW working in the field of Public Relations/ Communications could earn as much as P138,000.00 ($2,768.52) per month.
MACAU. An OFW working in the field of Engineering could earn as much as P118,833.00 ($2,383.95) per month.
BAHRAIN. An OFW working in the field of Architecture/ Interior Design could earn as much as P113,030.00 ($2,267.53) per month.
OMAN. An OFW working in the field of Customer Service could earn as much as P95,000.00 ($1,905.83) per month.
The United States did not make it to the Top 10 after holding the top spot last year with the demand of healthcare workers declining this year.
