A Moroccan man has been sentenced to five years in jail and subsequent deportation by the Doha Criminal Court for allegedly breaking into a shop and stealing 25 mobile phones, 100 watches, a laptop and some cash.
According, to local Arabic daily Arrayah, the court has also sentenced the man to three more months in jail for being intoxicated while carrying out his crime.
The incident happened when the defendant was intoxicated one night and broke the door of a shop using an iron bar and stole the products.
