Exit Permits:
Information on applying for an Exit Permits from Qatar.
All expatriate residents, except wives and dependent children under family sponsorship, require an exit permit to leave the country.
Qatari minors under the age of 18 and unmarried women under 25 are also required to carry an exit permit.
Exit permits are normally processed by the resident’s sponsor. Qatari citizens may apply for exit permits on behalf of their dependents. Both types of permit can be issued instantly through Hukoomi.
Single Exit Permit:
The single exit permit is valid for one week. Residents are advised to arrange for this permit ahead of time.
Government agencies and private companies may apply for permits online. Alternatively, a company representative may also apply in person at the Ministry of Interior’s Passport and Expatriate Affairs department. The head immigration office is located on Luqta Street (road to Qatar Foundation) just west of D-Ring Road.
Multiple Exit Permit
A multiple exit permit is valid for one year. It gives the permit holder more than one permission to exit Qatar . The permit can be granted provided that the employer consents to giving selected employees multiple exits.
Qatari Exit Permit:
Male Qatari citizens over the age of 18 may apply for single or multiple exit permits for his family members. The application can be completed online or in person at MOI’s Nationality and Travel Documents Department.
