Hadid graces the Vogue Japan cover in a black, floor-length, Giorgio Armani design from the FW16 collection. A one-shouldered gown dressed the model, accompanied by a wide, gold choker and equally simplistic gold bracelet. With a slicked back mane and dark lip, the cover result produced a dark, moody aesthetic that was as equally dramatic as it was intoxicating.

Critics were not expecting an entirely black styled fashion for the cover of Vogue Japan.

As a result, the September issue was perceived as quite refreshing in its styling, minimalistic in its positioning, but nevertheless, powerfully captivating. Photographer Giampaolo Sgura shot the cover.

In The Sun Of Italy, a story also photographed by Giampaolo Sgura meets the pages of Vogue Japan’s September edition. The location is Masseria Torre Coccaro, set in Puglia, Italy. Russian beauty, Irina Shayk was featured in the Pugliese influenced editorial. Anna Dello Russo styled the story, with makeup by Jessica Nedza, and hair by Andrew Guida.
