HE Foreign Minister Meet EU Representative for Foreign AffairsTuesday October 18, 2016
Brussels, October 18 (QNA) – HE Foreign Minister of the State of Qatar Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met Tuesday in Brussels with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy (HR) Federica Mogherini.
They discussed the latest developments in the region and the EU’s position on the crisis in Syria. They also discussed ways to support a political solution in light of the shelling of Aleppo and Russia’s ceasefire announcement, held to allow delivering humanitarian aid to the people living in the Syrian city.
They also discussed developments in Iraqi city of Mosul and agreed that it was important to guarentee the return of refugees after the deterioration of humanitarian conditions there.
On the political agreement in Libya, they both expressed their support to implementing it with the participation of all segments of the Libyan people. (QNA)
