H H the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President Nicolas Maduro of the friendly Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela held an official session of talks at the Emiri Diwan this morning.
At the beginning of the session, HH The Emir welcomed the Venezuelan President and the accompanying delegation, wishing him a pleasant stay, and the relations between the two countries further development and growth in various fields, describing the visit as important. His keenness to develop and develop the Venezuelan-Qatari relations, and looking forward that his visit would contribute to achieving the aspirations of the two friendly peoples to deepen the relations of joint cooperation and friendship between the two countries.
During the session, they discussed aspects of developing friendship relations and prospects for joint cooperation and pushing them to broader horizons to serve the common interests of the two countries, especially in the fields of energy, economy, investment, agriculture and tourism, in addition to exchanging views on the most prominent issues on the regional and international arenas.
The session was attended by H Minister of State for Foreign Affairs al-Muraikhi, and on the Venezuelan side, it was attended by HE Wilmer Castro Sotildo, Minister of People’s Power for Productive Agriculture and Land, HE Ali Ernesto Padron Paredes, Minister of People’s Power for Tourism, and HE Ramon Celestino Velasquez Araguayan, Minister of People’s Power for Transport.
On this occasion, His Highness the Emir hosted a lunch banquet in honor of the Venezuelan President and the accompanying delegation.
The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela had earlier arrived at the Amiri Diwan, where an official reception ceremony was held for him.
