In Iran, local media confirmed hearing explosions around the capital, Tehran.

In turn, Al-Mayadeen’s correspondent in Tehran confirmed that there was no targeting of Imam Khomeini and Mehrabad airports.

He also pointed out that no oil facilities were targeted, noting that all that had happened so far was hearing the sound of 3 explosions, which were related to air defense activities.

He explained that there were Israeli attempts to target 3 bases in Tehran province, but the Iranian air defenses confronted them, adding that the atmosphere in the capital is completely calm.

While our correspondent pointed out that everything reported in the Israeli media about targeting Imam Khomeini and Mehrabad airports and oil facilities is false, sources also confirmed to Al-Mayadeen that the two airports were not subjected to any attack.

According to what our correspondent followed, the air defenses succeeded in shooting down hostile targets against military bases in the south and west of Tehran province, but not in the capital. In the east of Tehran province as well, the air defenses confronted hostile targets.
