You will be responsible for the day to day management of all the activities in the microbiology laboratory. You will support the business by co-ordinating all the mico lab activities to ensure compliance with internal and international standards and working towards attaining international accreditation. In this role, you will have to carry out challenge testing of new formulation and processing changes in conjunction with Quality Assurance Manager to continuously improve the performance of the lab through reviewing current methods and develop new methods as required. You will also need to provide technical support to other parts of the business i.e. HACCP system, validation of process, troubleshooting activities when and where necessary, among other tasks.
To be successful in this role, you need to have a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology with minimum 4 years of job-related experience in airline catering. It is preferred that you have knowledge and experience of international laboratory accreditation schemes, 7 years of relevant Microbiology laboratory- based experience in a high risk food catering or manufacturing environment. It is also preferred that you have knowledge of HACCP and Flight Operations. You should also be able to demonstrate relevant Microbiology laboratory- based experience in high risk food catering or manufacturing environment. Computer literacy specifically JDE and Microsoft Office is essential.
